The starting point for BRIDGES is a series of photographs which capture the whole stretch of bridges over the Drammensfjord. The immediate impression is that the bridges stand as a symbol of powerlessness and mistaken planning.

By treating this motif from a painterly vantage point a new tension arises. They are seen afresh and the initially traumatic basis reaches a solution and novel insight is gained. The light and space are still present.
